Coalitions

The idea behind coalition-building is simple: We are stronger together. At Aquatic Life Institute, we believe we will be more successful and have a greater impact for animals if we work together as a cohesive, multi-pronged movement built around a shared blueprint. We can work together to find commonalities, and advance win-win solutions, all at a global scale. At this crucial juncture in the aquatic welfare movement, we can ensure that all stakeholders are in communication, collaborating, and uplifting each other’s efforts, rather than risking redundancy or contradiction. The coalition groups facilitate a free exchange of research, ideas, and expertise, both within each group and between them. Our coalition groups were formed to directly support the advancement of aquatic animal welfare initiatives, and secondarily to support the growth of work on aquatic animal welfare within each coalition’s niche.

Collaborating with Aquatic Life Institute is highly valuable for us at Fundación Veg, given that their research and expertise on the welfare of aquatic animals provide us with important tools to advocate for enhancing both their living conditions and legal status.
